Summer is the perfect time to indulge in refreshing and healthy mocktails. With the scorching heat, it is important to stay hydrated and what better way to do that than with a delicious mocktail?

There are a wide variety of healthy mocktail recipes that can be enjoyed during the summer season. These mocktails not only quench your thirst but also provide essential nutrients and vitamins. From fruity concoctions to herb-infused drinks, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Here's a few of our favorite mocktail recipes for you to try at home for your next gathering, or anytime, you want to make the moment a little more special:

Citrus Kombucha Fizz (photo above)

INGREDIENTS

crushed ice for serving
salt + sugar + chili powder for the rim
1 lime sliced
1 orange sliced
1/2 grapefruit sliced
2 ounces freshly squeezed orange juice
2 ounces freshly squeeze lime juice
6 ounces grapefruit or citrus kombucha
2 ounces ginger beer

INSTRUCTIONS

Stir together the salt, sugar and chili powder on a small plate. Rim each glass with a lime wedge and dip it in a mixture of the salty chili sugar. Fill the glasses with crushed iced and a mix of the sliced citrus!

Agua de Jamaica (Hibiscus Tea)

INGREDIENTS

2 quarts (8 cups) water
1.5 cups dried hibiscus flowers
2/3 cup of equal ratio sweetener substitute or sugar of your choice
Several sprigs of rosemary or wedge of citrus fruit

INSTRUCTIONS

Bring water to boil in a saucepan. Turn off heat and stir in sweetener or sugar until dissolved. Remove from stove and then add hibiscus flours and stir to combine. Let steep for about 20 minutes, the remove the hibiscus flowers with a strainer. Stir in a citrus juice if desired, then refrigerate. Serve over ice.

You can also make this as sun tea, and let the water and hibiscus sit out in the sunlight all day.

Ginger Beer Mojito

Since most ginger beers are non-alcoholic, you should have no trouble finding one you love.

INGREDIENTS

10 mint leaves
2 ounces fresh lime juice
ice
6 ounces ginger beer
garnishes: fresh lime wedges or slices, fresh mint sprigs

INSTRUCTIONS

Muddle the mint together with the lime juice in a glass. Add a few large ice cubes, then pour in the ginger beer and finish with additional garnishes you prefer - slices of lime, mint sprig, etc. 

Cranberry Orange Sangria

INGREDIENTS

32 ounces of berry or cherry kombucha
1 large orange, sliced
1 cup fresh OR defrosted frozen cranberries
Cinnamon sugar for the rims (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

Fill a pitcher with the sliced oranges and cranberries. Add in the kombucha and stir to combine.
Wet the rim of each glass and then dip in the cinnamon sugar.
Fill each glass with ice and top with kombucha, adding in a some of the fruit. Serve.

Virgin Moscow Mule

INGREDIENTS

1 lime
Mint leaves
Ice
2 bottles ginger soda
Lime wedge optional

INSTRUCTIONS

Add ½ juice of lime to each mug, and muddle a couple mint leaves in the bottom. Add crushed ice and pour in ginger soda.
Top with a lime wedge and serve immediately.
